BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard
For almost 25 years, the BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard has established itself as the industry benchmark. With over 22,000 sites across 130 countries embracing this standard, it has gained acceptance from 70% of the top 10 global retailers, 60% of the top 10 quick-service restaurants, and 50% of the top 25 manufacturers.
Now in its 9th edition, this standard has consistently evolved to prioritize consumer protection. It holds the distinction of being the first standard to undergo GFSI benchmarking. Additionally, it has introduced requirements for food safety culture, defined food fraud, and reduced the audit burden through supplementary modules.
Developed in collaboration with industry experts, this standard offers a comprehensive framework to effectively manage product safety, integrity, legality, and quality. It encompasses operational controls for the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing, and packaging sectors.
